Institute of Continuing Education (ICE)

This course provides an introductory review of international development discourses since the 1950s and critically examines the competing meanings of 'development' drawing on relevant theoretical traditions. We explore development challenges in the post-2015 agenda such as poverty, inequality, education, health, social protection, and share insights into the dilemmas of development policy and practice. This course is a 10-session course and must be taken with W410Am01 in Week 4.
