This course examines medievalism, the treatment of the medieval past in more modern literature. Ranging from Chaucer to Patience Agbabi, Queen Caroline to Thomas Chatterton, it asks how we represent the past, and use it to speak about our present selves. No knowledge of medieval literature or Middle English is required. This is a 10 session course and must be taken with W310Am06 in week 3.
