This online course will explore resilience in a coaching setting. Resilience is the capacity to remain flexible in emotions, thoughts, and behaviour when under stress. A resilience coach (or a coach who wants to focus on resilience with a client), will assist the client improve their health and well-being by developing and maintaining positive mindsets. In this course, the trait of resilience will be discussed and why it is not a set personality trait but a dynamic learning process. Psychological theories of resilience will be explored and there will be the opportunity to discuss the role of the coach in assisting the client understand and built their personal assets. There will also be a practical section in the course where different techniques for coaching sessions will be explored as well as how coaches can foster resilience in their clients.
