Literary Event- In conversation with Dr Gail Simmons

Gail will be discussing her recent publication 'Between The Chalk & The Sea.' Described by Stephen Moss as "a brilliantly modern take on one of the oldest of literary genres - the pilgrimage narrative, but this is no ordinary walk, but one with a purpose: to discover the meaning of what it means to be British in these troubled and disjointed times". 

Gail's travel journalism has appeared in many UK newspapers and magazines including Wanderlust, The Telegraph, The Guardian, Sunday Times Travel and The Independent, as well as several international publications such as TIME magazine, Al-Jazeera English and CNN Traveller.
