Literary Event: In Conversation with Freya Bromley and Erica Buist

Freya Bromley and Erica Buist will be discussing their two books and how, in different ways, they have written about the death of a loved one. In Freya’s new book, The Tidal Year she charts her voyage of loss and longing as she swims every tidal pool in mainland Britain with her friend Miri. Erica takes a different approach in This Party’s Dead by visiting seven death festivals around the world as a way of dealing with her grief.  

Freya and Erica, who are both studying on ICE’s MSt in Creative Writing, will discuss their different routes to publication and how they approached writing about a sensitive subject in a compassionate, compelling, and even, funny way.  

There will be a Q&A at the event and a chance to win a copy of both books.
