Literary Event - In conversation with Joe Reed

Nick Bradley, tutor in creative writing at ICE and author of The Cat and the City, will be talking to his colleague Joe Mungo Reed about Joe's second novel, Hammer. Described by Kirkus Reviews as "Richly textured, compulsively readable, and brilliant throughout," Hammer is a novel told from the perspective of three characters: Martin, an auction house specialist, Marina, a PR professional and Martin's old university friend, and Marina's husband, Oleg, an oligarch who made his fortune in the dying days of the Soviet Union. Drawn together by a chance encounter, these three characters soon find their lives entangled as they each seek, in different ways, to leverage this accidental connection into a means by which to change their destinies.
