Literary Event- In Conversation with Sarah Burton and Jem Poster

Dr Midge Gillies, creative writing tutor and author, will be talking to Dr Sarah Burton and Professor Jem Poster about their new publication, The Book You Need to Read to Write the Book You Want to Write: A Handbook for Fiction Writers.  

In it, Jem and Sarah, the original course directors of ICE’s MSt in Creative Writing (which this year celebrates its tenth anniversary), use their extensive experience as writers and tutors to offer advice to anyone who has ever considered writing a novel or short story. They will be discussing the craft of writing and sharing practical advice and tips about such matters as self-motivation and approaching agents and publishers.
