Dr Midge Gillies, Academic Director of Creative Writing, will be talking to Sue Teddern about her debut novel, Annie Stanley, All at Sea, which has come after a long career as a scriptwriter. Her credits include Cooking in a Bedsitter and soloparentpals.com for radio; Birds of a Feather and Homefront for TV. Sue is also the co-author of Writing for TV & Radio: a Writers' & Artists' Companion and has taught for many years on the Master's in Creative Writing at ICE . Hepzibah Anderson in The Observer called Annie Stanley, All at Sea a 'charming debut novel [which] balances seaside kitsch and mordant humour' and David Nicholls described Sue as 'a witty, warm, wry writer'. Her second novel, The Pre-Loved Club, will be published next August.
