Join Graham Seed as he discusses which ‘ingredients’ we might put in an English language test as well as the tools we would need to ‘bake’ a test. In thinking about the ingredients, we’ll explore how we might break down English as a language for testing purposes into skills such as Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking – or how indeed we might mix them up. In thinking about the tools, we’ll briefly look at potential task types, assessment criteria and the use of examiners, as well as helpful frameworks for test creation such as the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). This webinar will therefore give an overview of Module 6 of the Masters in English Language Assessment, before allowing time for Q&A.
