If you are self-funding your course

Our preferred payment method is credit/debit card through your ICE account, via our secure online booking system. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept cheques or Amex.

Please contact the Enrolment Team if you need any support with the payment process for any of our courses: questions@ice.cam.ac.uk

Undergraduate courses:

Once you have been made an offer to study on your undergraduate course, you will be asked to book and make a payment to secure your place. As you move through the booking process in your ICE account, you will have the option of paying in full or paying in instalments. The instalment option will split the payments into three equal instalments.

Alternatively, if you are a UK student and wish to pursue a student loan for your course, you will be asked to pay a deposit of £50 to secure your place. For further information on student loans please visit the External Funding page of our website.

Please enter your credit/debit card details when prompted. You can pay any of the outstanding instalments at any time by going to your account.

Postgraduate and Master’s courses:

Once you have received your conditional offer for your postgraduate course, the course team will be in touch regarding your options to pay. Some students opt to pay a one-off fee, but many students pay via a payment plan.

MSt course fees are broken down into year 1 and year 2; payment for year 1 must be paid in full by the end of the academic year to be able to progress on to year 2.

If you are a UK student, you may be eligible to apply for a Postgraduate Master’s Loan from Student Finance England to help with the course fees and living costs while you study. For further information on a Master’s loan and eligibility criteria, please visit the GOV.UK website.

If you are externally funding your course

If you are receiving funding via an external source, for example from HEE, your employer or other source, it is your responsibility to ensure the fees are paid by the agreed dates. You may wish to pay the instalments yourself and claim the money back from us once your funder has made the full payment.

If for any reason your external source funding is not confirmed or received, then you will remain liable for the course fee and a refund will not be made.

Please note that in line with our standard refund policy, liability for course fees is with you and not your funder. Please visit our Cancellations and Refunds policy for more information. For further information on ways to externally fund your course please visit the External Funding page of our website.
