When you graduate with a Master of Studies (MSt) in English Language Assessment from the University of Cambridge, you will be equipped with a deep understanding of the ways in which English is assessed and the expertise to develop new assessment tools and strategies. By understanding and applying the rigorous principles required to adjust and adapt assessment tools, you will learn how to meet diverse needs of learners and candidates and ensure fairness across different learning and testing environments.
This MSt course has been developed to offer a unique combination of expertise taught by world-leading researchers and practitioners in English language assessment. The part-time MSt is an academically rigorous and practical course, aimed at English language teachers, educational practitioners and other assessment professionals seeking to enhance and consolidate their knowledge in English language assessment.

The two-year, tutor-led blended learning course is delivered in collaboration with Cambridge Assessment English – the global leader in English language assessment, Cambridge Language Sciences Interdisciplinary Research Centre, with input from the Institute for Automated Language Teaching and Assessment (ALTA).
