This MSt course has been developed to offer a unique combination of expertise taught by world leading researchers and practitioners in English Language assessment. The part-time MSt is an academically rigorous and practical course, aimed at English language teachers, educational practitioners and other assessment professionals seeking to enhance and consolidate their knowledge in English language assessment.

The two-year, tutor led blended learning course is delivered in collaboration with Cambridge Assessment – the global leader in English language assessment, Cambridge Language Sciences Interdisciplinary Research Centre with the support of the Institute for Automated Language Teaching and Assessment (ALTA).
The course, which combines in-depth theoretical learning with practical tasks, will be delivered across six modules covering a wide range of content including: assessment approaches, linguistic insights into language learning, language assessment tools for English, developing and applying advanced research skills and developing and understanding new assessment methods.
