Our Creative Writing Retreat held at the Institute's stunning 16th-century mansion, Madingley Hall, is designed for those who 'just want to write' in supportive and welcoming surroundings. This is the perfect opportunity to finish (or perhaps start) that writing project, a chance to give yourself the time and space to think and write in an environment ideally suited to your creative needs.

The total cost of the Retreat is £800, which covers tuition, accommodation, meals and refreshments.

We regret that it is not possible to attend the Retreat as a non-residential guest.

Accommodation

With pleasant views over the woods, gardens or courtyard, our bedrooms are all en suite with wi-fi access, a writing desk, digital television and tea- and coffee-making facilities.

Meals made using locally-sourced ingredients. Lunches are served in the magnificent oak-panelled dining hall, whereas every evening, Writers on Retreat and tutors meet for a candlelit dinner in the historic panelled library - the Stuart Room - which is also where the optional morning tutor-led sessions take place.
