How and why did abstract art evolve? If an artwork no longer represents a recognisable world, how can we relate to it? Focusing on late-19th century to mid-20th century artworks by key artists, this chronological course comprises in-depth explorations designed to improve visual analysis skills, introduce socio-historical context and explore artists' individual techniques and effects.
