Romeo and Juliet is Shakespeare’s first great tragedy. The play is full of exuberant and lyrical poetry and characters who seem to rejoice in wordplay of all kinds. The violence of the family feud between the Capulets and the Montagues contrasts with the tender feelings of the young lovers as they try to find happiness together. This is a double course which can only be taken with Sa1. The maximum number of students on this course is 15.
